本案空間由一位專精於傳統實木家具的屋主所主導，

其對於木作比例、細節與質感有著敏銳而純熟的掌握。

因此，在整體設計語彙上，回應了木的精神——不炫技、不張揚，

而是回歸日用本質與工藝價值。

選材上，以溫潤淺木紋與霧白石材為基底，

融合屋主自家品牌的實木家具，

打造出既現代又含蓄的空間表情。

餐廳區域的大木桌與長凳，宛如家的核心，

承載日常的交流與共享。開放式動線與中島設計，

也讓空間更具彈性與互動性。

「木」不只是材料，而是生活的語言；

「宅」不只是形式，而是情感的容器。

此案讓傳統手藝與現代語境不違和共存，

正是「宅木相承」的深層注解。

The project titled Zhai Mu Xiang Cheng (宅木相承) embodies the spirit of generational craftsmanship and the natural rhythm of domestic life.

Designed for a homeowner deeply rooted in traditional solid wood furniture making, the space draws from an innate understanding of material honesty and structural clarity. The goal was never to overdesign, but to let the materials speak—warm wood grains, refined marbling, and clean lines form the core visual palette.

Custom furnishings handcrafted from solid timber, sourced from the family's own furniture legacy, anchor the dining area, symbolizing a gathering point where generations meet. The open kitchen island extends this flow, blending function and interaction seamlessly.

Rather than treating wood as ornament, the design reclaims it as a narrative thread—subtle, grounded, enduring. Every detail, from shelving proportions to joinery softness, reflects a quiet reverence for the past while embracing present needs.

Zhai Mu Xiang Cheng is not merely a name. It’s an ethos: of living that respects tradition, while designing forward.
